Public holidays are a combination of religious and national holidays around the Globe. According to the Ministry of Interior, 2019 calendar marks the public holidays in Pakistan as below:

Kashmir Day – February 5th (Tuesday)
A public holiday in Pakistan, which shows Pakistan’s support and unity towards the Indian-Occupied Kashmiri people. Moreover, praising their ongoing struggles to get freedom and paying tribute to those who lost their lives while fighting for Freedom.
Pakistan Day – March 23rd (Saturday)
Republic Day or Pakistan Resolution Day is a national holiday in Pakistan, mostly celebrated by the armed forces of Pakistan (Parade, Air Show and Weapons display). Pakistan day is celebrated to recall the Lahore Resolution passed on 23rd March 1940 (at Minar-e-Pakistan). Moreover, the first constitution of Pakistan was adopted right on this day in 1956.
Labor Day – May 1st (Wednesday)
Labor Day is an annual public holiday to celebrate the accomplishment of the workers. This day marks the hard-work of our labor working for eight to nine hours straight, regardless of the climatic/weather changings.
Eid-ul-Fitr – June 5th-7th (Wednesday-Friday)
An important religious festival celebrated by Muslims around the Globe marks the end of an Islamic Holy month of fasting, Ramadan. The three-day festival marks the first day of an Islamic Month Shawwal. Such Muslim festivals are observed as per the moon sighting.
Eid-ul-Azha – August 12th-14th (Monday-Wednesday)
A holy religious festival celebrated by Muslims from all over the world, Eid-ul-Azha, falls on the 10th day of Dhu-al-Hijjah (according to Islamic Calendar). it marks the end of Pilgrimage Hajj for the Muslims. On this festival, Muslims sacrifice cow, goat, camel, bull and sheep. Also, they perform donations in the face of sending meat to poor people.
Independence Day – August 14th (Wednesday)
Pakistan’s Independence Day is a
public holiday which celebrates country’s independence from British rule in
1947. On this day, people of Pakistan
foster national unity, faith and Patriotism and commemorates the struggles of
those fighting for this separate homeland.
Ashura Muharram – September 9th-10th (Monday-Tuesday)
A religious holiday, Ashura Muharram, marks the tenth day of Muharram (first month of Islamic Calendar). For the Muslims, Ashura commemorates the death of the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Hussain ibn Ali, at the Battle of Karbala.
Eid Milad-un-Nabi – November 10th (Sunday)
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)’s birthday,
Eid Milad-un-Nabi is a public holiday in Pakistan and most of the Muslim
countries. Muslim Ummah around the Globe value this day and the whole month
(Rabi-ul-Awwal) a lot. The day is celebrated on the 12th of the
Islamic Month, Rabi-ul-Awwal (according to Islamic Calendar).
Quaid-e-Azam Day / Christmas festival – December 25th (Wednesday)
25th December, the birth anniversary of a notable politician and the founder of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah. It is a public holiday in Pakistan as it commemorates the life, legendary personality and accomplishment of our Quaid.
