Mehwish Hayat who is one of the leading actresses of Pakistan, has given some back-to-back blockbuster movies such as Punjab nahi jaon gi, Actor in law, Load wedding and Na Maloom Afraad. The 36 years old actress has shown versatility and has done justice with her roles.
This year, the government of Pakistan decided to award civil awards to number of people belonging to different professions. The civil awards are to be given to them in a ceremony that is expected to be held on the Pakistan Day.
It was speculated that senior artists such as Anwar Maqsood, Javaid Sheikh, Abida Parveen, Shan Shahid, Samina Pirzada and Saba Faisal would be given the awards.
However, all such actors have been neglected and out of the blue, Mehwish Hayyat is nominated for Tamgha-e-Imtiaz.
