The Chinese Smartphone manufacturer Oppo is now going to reveal its new and unique feature: Mesh Talk. The new Mesh Talk technology will allow its users to communicate with each other without any sim connection, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connectivity. This new technology will allow its users to text and voice call each other through the device without relying on Wi-Fi cellular signals or any Bluetooth but only over a short distance.
Mesh Talk will be preinstalled in Oppo’s devices
Mesh Talk will be a built-in Feature in all Oppo devices. Oppo claimed that this new feature can be termed as the modern walkie talkie with a large working range. If any two Oppo users are within distance of 3 km from each other they can communicate through voice call or text and voice messages.
Where can Mesh Talk be useful?
This new feature was introduced by Oppo at the MWC 2019 in Shanghai, China. Oppo’s media representative said, “At times, people encounter extreme situations where there is no network coverage at all – for example, the time when you arrive at the airport from a foreign country or when you take an off-road trip or attend a concert, exhibition or football match. This technology will be useful in such scenarios where there is no network availability.”
Also, in any case of emergency or natural hazard where the country’s network system gets damaged or disrupted, this new feature will prove useful to communicate with each other. Mesh Talk can also prove to be useful in several remote areas or the areas where people face issues of connectivity.
How does the feature work?
This new feature seems quite unique and amazing. But until now manufacturers have yet not revealed about the working of this new feature. They have also not revealed the technology that has been used to develop this new feature. However, the name “Mesh” suggests that the feature will make use of nearby devices to create a mesh network or LAN.
Though after the announcement of Mesh Talk, Oppo users are eagerly waiting for the smartphones with Mesh Talk feature in them.
