Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC) is a state of art cancer Hospital that has been founded by the current Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan Niazi.

Imran Khan was able to collect the first milestone funds for his hospital when he was in cricket. He made an appeal to the nation when Pakistan and India came head-to-head against each other in a cricket match on November 10, 1989, at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

He was able to collect as many as Rs. 2,902,600. In the year 1992 when Imran Khan was leading the Pakistani cricket team under his captaincy, Pakistan won the world cup and they were able to raise half million pounds in just six weeks. This was a great milestone.
